The hospital in Naples offers a great e-greeting service where you can send photos and a message through their Web site, and they'll print it out and deliver it to her room. Mom had been telling her all about our roses, I decided to send some pictures. Since news of Grammie's condition has trickled in all week, the roses have burst forth bigger and brighter; I think they're inspired to try and be as beautiful as she is.
Hi Heather. I've been reading this site for years, but never commented before. I just had to let you know what a wonderful sentiment that was about your grandmother; it made me more than a little misty! Prayers are with your family this Easter!

Heather - I hope that your grandmother is doing well and it's awesome that the hospital in Naples has that kind of thoughtfull service. I've been spending time with my father in the ICU at out hospital in Portland and it's a trial just to get him a phone. Best wishes...

Hi Heather,
I've read this blog for a while but haven't commented before.
I lost my grandmother at the age of 94 last year- she had an absolutely fighting spirit, having lived through 2 world wars and losing her husband through the second.
I've attached a link to the poem I read at my nan's funeral which describes how she lived her life, right to the end.
I hope you're grandmother makes it through this crisis- and even if she doesn't I hope she is aware of the immense love her family has for her.
